New Developments

Now, I have been talking about Ordination for a little while now, but it's happening this Sunday at 6PM at my church at least the ceremony anyways. There is a fellowship afterwards too! This is more of a formality, as the ordination council was the big deal, although ceremonies are often a blessing.

I remember when I was Baptized as an 11 year old. Obviously, well at least obvious to me, baptism is not required for salvation. It is simply a public declaration of the faith you have. Awesome. This is the same with the Ordination on Sunday. It isn't "Required" for me to be a reverend, but it's really more than just a title change. It is a public declaration of my commitment to the life call God has for me to be a pastor. Being a Pastor isn't just a job, its truly a calling, or at least it should be.

I am excited to celebrate with family and friends this Sunday as we celebrate God's work in my life! (That sounds very selfish, but unintentional promise).
