Good tidings

Life is interesting. Life is a vapor. I find that statement to be so true. When you work in the profession that I do (pastoring) you deal with a lot more death than most people (save the medical field and morgue type people). You either officiate or attend various funerals of church members and church members families, and you are reminded of the fragility of life. It really does go by fast. November 23rd, It will be 6 months of marriage for me. 6 months! Really?!?! I remember the craziness leading up to it. The anticipating. The wondering whether it would EVER happen, and then it does, and then time just moves.

I liken it only to being a child, and all of the anticipation for Christmas. It take FOREVER to get here, but then it's here, and just like that, it's over. Crazy.

The difference with marriage of course is that the wedding comes and then it's over, but then the biproduct is you are still wonderfully (hopefully) married.

I am overjoyed to be with Samantha. I often wonder why she wanted to be with someone like me, but it's so nice to know I'm with the person God made me to be with.

So, while time goes fast, I am trying desperately to enjoy the moments. I pray the same for you. Wherever you are today, I pray you live in the moment, and enjoy what life God has given.

God Bless,

Brian
