EXCITMENT

I am really stinking excited for what God is doing in the Youth Ministry here at WBBC! We are currently going through an 8 week training program on witnessing to give the youth not just the resources they need to effectively communicate the Gospel of Christ, but really to motivate them and create excitment. No one does well when they are not prepared, and the G-O-S-P-E-L way of witnessing created by Greg Stier of Dare 2 Share, is about the best their is for youth. This training program not only helps them learn scriptures needed to communicate, but also how to communicate to those who would be adverse to the Gospel (which unfortunately, now a days, is almost everyone). 

The coolest thing about it, is we are creating some open and honest discussion about what the youth think of things. They get to really share their hearts, their burdens, and concerns, and their knowledge. My goal in all this is that they would OWN their faith. This should be the goal of every Christian, but it is one of my goals set for the Youth Ministry. Some of these youth will be graduating this year, and going off to college, and it is VERY important that they not just be able to tell someone they have a relationship with Jesus, but that they can tell them WHY and HOW. 

It's not enough anymore to simply say your a christian. You have to live it out and be able to defend what it is you believe (I believe that's in the Bible; 1 Peter 3:15)

So, any and all of you out there reading this who are saved, please lift up the Youth Ministry in prayer and we dig deep in the Word to reveal it's truths and motivate these young people to win their lost friends for Jesus.
