Pastor Appreciation Month

Tomorrow, October 1st, begins Pastor Appreciation Month 2008! I am very excited about this for many reasons! This is my second year being a Pastor, and so that is exciting, but more over, just that people take the time to thank and remember those people who have tirelessly and effectively led their churches. A time to thank the Pastor's that were there in times of joy, and sadness, great triumph, and even defeat.

Out of all the thankless jobs you can list, I really believe Pastor's are right up there. And I don't say this because I am looking for thanks, but I saw it in appreciation of the fact that they made a month to be appreciated. I'm thankful for the Pastor's I work with and their contributions in my life, their advice, and help in my own ministry, and their friendship.

I am also very thankful for the people who were My Pastor's growing up. It is awesome to see where God has taken me and how they were instrumental in getting me there, even if they don't know it!

I'm thankful for the opportunity I have had to be a Pastor this pastor year and a month or so, and look forward to the future!
