AWAKE

So this past week was a very interesting week for me...

This past Monday (7 days ago) I got my wisdom teeth out. 1 was simply pulled, and the other three had to be surgically removed as they were impacted (and sideways, in some cases) and so I was put mostly under, I don't remember any of it, and that went fine. The recovery has been a whole other deal. I took off work Mon-Wed (Thursday is my day off) so I didn't work till Friday. I would have gone in earlier but I got complications. Pain, nausea, pain, stiff jaw, pain, massive headache, et cetera. So Friday, I was still in pain but I went to work and all was good. Friday night however, I developed a cold and started sneezing. Note to all: sneezing hard with 4 big holes in your mouth hurts, haha, so don't do it. Saturday was AWAKENING FESTIVAL in CENTREVILLE VA. We woke up early (The fiancee who was visiting, and myself) and were picked up by friends from church and rode the three hours there. I had a bad runny nose, tissues up my nose still bad headache and mouth pain. Got to the concert it was a good 15 degrees hotter than we anticipated, and we got to hear the wonderful bands. There was run kid run, nevertheless, britt nicole, matthew west, echoing angels, and then speaker (Justing Lookadoo) then the two headliners, with 1 hour and 1/2 sets a piece: SKILLET AND NEWSBOYS!

Well, wonderful story of God's intervention. Before Skillet was to perform and Justin Lookadoo was speaking this bad storm was headed our way. Im talking severe thunderstorm, had taken down trees in the local area bad. So they told us, the radar says its going to completely come over us, and if we see lightning we need you all to go to your cars, and we will let you know if we are gonna continue after it passes, but probably not. So he goes back, (the moderator) all the while...Skillet's sound people are still checking. He comes back out and says I know you guys still want to go on, and you know, we serve a BIG GOD so let's pray. So we prayed that God would move the storm...and keeping in mind the storm is now bearing on us...The radar shows it coming right over us...then all of the sudden, after we prayed the storm moved...not far but it stopped and moved a mile over, and hit that area, completely missing the park at which Awakening Festival was taking place. And then, Skillet came out and rocked it! A little rain came, then it stopped and Newsboys came out and brought it! It was such a blessing (in spite of the fact that i then developed a fever).

God did such a major work, and people Got saved during that day as well through the testimony of the singers, and the presentation led by Lookadoo, and others (like our group) were refreshed in the Lord. What a mighty God we serve indeed!

Sickness or not, I know by his stripes we are HEALED! and that He is in control!
